It’s Christmas! Lights, colours, presents, music in the streets, chilly weather… the best time for a warm cup of coffee. For the people at Coffee Island this month means festive… Artisan Roasting.

This is why we put on our festive outfits and begin the process of Artisan Roasting with joy. The process requires knowledge, talent, imagination and the perfect coordination of the senses. We started roasting the coffee at the correct temperatures as dictated by the ideal roasting curve. The results were intoxicating and filled the atmosphere of Patras with aromas that lift the spirits. A Christmas mood that we want to share with everyone at Coffee Island’s coffee roasters. The roasting here never stops. Even during the holidays, we will keep roasting in order to have our favourite coffee ready and available for you to enjoy.

To be sure we test our coffee with strict criteria. It is a process of great importance that we put great attention to, so that we can ensure the uniqueness of flavour in each of our blends and varieties. After roasting, comes quality check. It is a process that focuses on the high-level taste that our varieties have to offer and on their quality. This process is called cupping. Quality checks at Coffee Island never ends.
